Return

An Advent poem

Return, return,
to where you came,
those who fear you,
will give you the blame,

Return, return,
from where you eloped,
never give in,
never lose hope,

Return, return,
oh prodigal child,
not matter how wrong,
no matter how wild,

Return, return,
from your greatest loss,
take a moment to kneel,
look to the cross.
